Barwis: NHL Offseason

Barwis is an upper echelon science based strength and conditioning facilty in Plymouth Michigan. When they hired me to create a video that highlights the incredible work they do with the NHL hockey players that come to them in the offseason, i jumped at the chance. I have a bachelors degree in sports science and have worked as a S&C coach with semi professional rugby athletes in addition to many other sports. The chance to work with these athletes in a different manner was a lot of fun.

The promising youth who are looking to get into the NHL need a game plan for how to tackle their off season training. I was tasked with coming up with and developing a video that would communicate to the young athletes that this is the place for them, and that if they want to take their NHL career seriously, this is the first step.

We spoke to Mike Babcock, as well as a few other NHL players to get their perspective on why it's important to take offseason training seriously.
